No Water, No Surgery–Wonderful Results

Spa day at SPAtaneity Natural Nail Salon and Ageless Perfection Skin Care was perfectly wonderful.

Started my day off with a facial first–in fact it was a nonsurgical face lift facial.

Glowing results of nonsurgical face lift facial.

image               Next off to waterless manicure and pedicure.  You place your feet on the towel which is on top of a warm heater–feels wonderful.

Wonderful oils are applied and massaged into your feet instead of water.

Just like a regular manicure/pedicure, but waterless.  The chance of infection is lessened because there is no whirlpool. The nail polishes are acetone free and/or vegan.

Day of Beauty on a Budget

As with any woman I needed a few things done like my nails,  eyebrows and other things. I can do most of the things myself, but I didn’t want to. So I decided to go where the price is lower and the service is professional. There will be no wine or soft drink offered at this place of business. There will be no fluffy white robe to wear either.

There will be very nice services given. There will be a consultation taken before any service is rendered.

Today I did a manicure, pedicure, eyebrow wax, facial and back treatment. All were very good. Were they as good as the places with the better robes?  In some instances they were.  Have I had better service at the places with the wine? In some instances I have.

I went to the beauty school today–Ogle School of Beauty. I enjoyed my day of beauty on a budget.

Will I go there all of the time? No I will not because sometimes I need the fluffy white robe and the wine. Sometimes my own bath will have to do the trick with my personal robe and wine.

If you feel the need for a little pampering and want to save some money try the local beauty school.

I’m going to Napa soon and I will have my fluffy robe and wine with the money I saved on my budget day of beauty.

After Illness do Wellness

While looking through the bill drawer I found a gift card for a massage that I had not used. I called Perfect Touch Day Spa and upgraded it–I have been sick you know. I could not wait to leave work on Thursday to start my afternoon of relaxing. The picture says it all. We must take care of ourselves. Remember, “thisisyourbestyear”.

Pampering While Away from Home

As I always told my students “you can learn something everyday, if you just listen”.  While on my trip to Chicago, I did the Segway tour of Hyde Park, and I had the best time.  There was a very nice couple on the same tour that gave me some information that some of you might already know.

They informed me they had gotten their tickets on Groupon.  I paid $59 and they paid the same $59 for two tickets.  They said as soon as they know they are going to a certain city, they go online and see what deals they can find.  Needless to say, I learned my lesson, and took their information to heart.

While in Scottsdale, Arizona, I was able to get a 50 minute massage along with a 50 minute facial for the wonderful price of $49 at Divine Skin Spa.  You read it right.  It was well worth it.

Each time I go away with my hubby, I always try to get some sort of personal spa treatment. Now that I know this little information, I will be getting even more spa treatments and doing special things.  Some of the sites that you might want to visit are: Groupon, Living Social, Deal of the Day, Daily Deal and Crowd Pleaser.  There are probably more.  I do suggest that you call and book the appointment, then make your purchase.

Ladies and gentlemen we all know that a little pampering always helps because we know “thisisyourbestyear”.
