March 17, 2015 at 1:02 pmI watched this insidious disease slowly change and kill my mother and quite a few other parents/grandparents that I know. So I know what B. Smith and her husband are enduring. I hope they avail themselves of the information and advice of the Alzheimers Association, and have a strong support system. Her husband is really going to need the support in B’s late stages. No cure yet, but advances in medications to prolong the onset of the late stages. Also, encouraging news about the possible help that stem cell research may be able to provide. Always hope, but great need for donations and funding.
