Over 50–Take A Class At TCU

The information below is taken directly from the Texas Christian University website of Extended Education (continuing education).  It is an opportunity for those 50 and over to take classes of interest at TCU for a nominal fee. Check your local colleges and universities they may offer such a program.

mature 9TCU Extended Education launches learning opportunities for the over-50 crowd September 10, 2014 A new initiative on the TCU campus may soon bring a whole new population of students to the classrooms. Starting in Spring 2015, TCU Silver Frogs Lifelong Learning Institute will be available to anyone 50

The membership organization offers 4-week non-credit daytime classes, one-time lectures, luncheon lectures with TCU faculty, discussion groups, access to Mary Couts Burnett Library and discounts to the TCU Barnes & Noble Bookstore and University Recreation Center and special events.

A kick-off event for TCU Silver Frogs Lifelong Learning Institute is set for 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center, 2820 Stadium Drive. The course and lecture instructors will be available, advisory board will be introduced and attendees may sign up for membership at that time. mature 3

A one-time semester fee of $130 for individuals or $117 per person for couples covers up to three classes (based on availability), special events, and three luncheon lectures, as well as the other benefits, although some courses and events may involve an additional fee.
