Having Fun While Helping Others

My friend Brit and I decided to strap on our stilettos and help out one of our favorite causes–education.  We attended Communities in School of Greater Tarrant County second annual Wine Women and Shoes. There was food, shoes, silent auctions, jewelry, fashions and  wine. It was a fun night helping to fund mentoring for students in Tarrant County, and empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Take a look at some sites at this amazing fun event.

At Last, a Nude Shoe for (Almost) Every Woman | Fashion – Yahoo Shine

Love, love this idea. There is only one problem that I see.  As a woman of a certain age, and a woman of color I do not generally wear hosiery especially in the warmer months. When I do they are usually dark shades because I can not find a shade that matches my skin tone. In the colder months I usually wear tights. No one has come up with hosiery that matches almost everyone, so unless most women of color go without hosiery…..get my point? Kind of like putting the horse before the cart.
